After a break due to the impact of COVID-19, we are so excited to bring back a new and improved Broadway Bound Summer Camp for ages 7 – 18!
Broadway Bound is a unique and memorable day camp experience that puts your son or daughter on the stage instead of in the audience! Taught by professional mainstage actors from all over the country, Broadway Bound offers a variety of fun and engaging classes that cover all areas of the performing arts, including improvisation, arts and crafts, singing, dancing, acting, theatre games, and more. While this camp is first and foremost about learning, not putting on a show, we do showcase the skills that have been learned in a final performance for family and friends at the end of the session. This year we are excited to welcome a brand new Camp Director, Erica Reneé Werner who will spearhead the classes and showcase!
Erica Reneé Werner joined the NCCA Jean’s Playhouse team in 2019 as an actor in our IMPACT Touring Children’s Series. She stayed on and performed multiple roles in our mainstage production of Almost, Maine. In 2021, she returned to the IMPACT program once again, but this time as Director and Choreographer. She also choreographed our mainstage production of Forever Plaid and played Sister Berthe in The Sound of Music in Concert. She is overjoyed to be returning for her 3rd season in the White Mountains and taking on this new role, as well as directing the StageSetters Youth show in the Fall! She originally hales from Lake Forest, IL, and proudly holds a BFA in Music Theatre from Illinois Wesleyan University. Some recent credits outside of NCCA include: Ado Annie (Oklahoma!), Betty Jean (Marvelous Wonderettes), Morticia (Addams Family) at Thunder Bay Theatre, and Star-To-Be (Annie) at Wohlfahrt Haus Dinner Theatre. Erica has worked in multiple children touring companies and has taught at numerous theatre camps in Chicago. www.EricaReneeWerner.com. Weekly Schedule:
Monday & Tuesday: 9 AM – 3 PM
Wednesday: 9 AM – 4:30 PM (tuition includes a student ticket to see our Wednesday matinee of MAMMA MIA! A $30 value!)
Thursday & Friday: 9 AM – 3 PM
Saturday: 9 AM – 1:00 PM (The showcase is at Noon on Saturday!)
There are only 25 slots, so advance registration is recommended!
