Thursday, May 18, 2017 – Lincoln, NH – FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Two Weekends of Comedy at Jean’s Playhouse
Boston Stand-Up Comedy returns to Jean’s on Sunday, May 28 at 7:30 pm with headliner Louis Ramey! Atlanta, Georgia born and raised, Louis Ramey was bitten by the comedy bug while in college. It all started with a friendly dare to go and tell a few jokes at the local jazz club in town. Today, he is comedy veteran and world traveler, and can be seen hosting TV Land Prime Movie blocks. You may have seen him as a finalist on NBC’s Last Comic Standing, NBC’s The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, ABC Daytime’s The View and NBC’s Last Call with Carson Daly.
Also featuring Mark Turcotte, a married father of two and lifelong New Englander. Most of Mark’s material is mined from his tumultuous upbringing, marrying out of his league and his impending demise. Beyond that, he’s a treat to be around. In his spare time, he enjoys analyzing injustice, hypocrisy and killer shark films. Mark is a versatile comedian who believes in using his powers for good. In 2012, he began the Comedy Fix fundraising series, which has raised money for a variety of non-profits.
Hosted by Jean’s Playhouse house comic and host of The Boggis Hour, Greg Boggis. Boston Stand-Up Comedy is on Sunday, May 28th at 7:30 pm; tickets are $20 and on sale now through the Box Office at 603-745-2141 and online at www.jeansplayhouse.com.
Can’t join us on Memorial Day Weekend? Then check out comedian Jimmy Dunn, headlining at Jean’s on Friday, June 2 at 7:30 pm. Jimmy Dunn is an actor and stand-up comedian from New Hampshire, who co-starred on the CBS hit comedy “The McCarthys” as Sean McCarthy.
He got his start in the comedy world telling jokes at a bar in Gloucester, Massachusetts, where he was paid in beer and fried clams. Since then, Jimmy has gone on to perform at some of the comedy industry’s most prestigious events, including Denis Leary’s Comics Come Home, Montreal’s International Just For Laughs Comedy Festival, and the Late Show with David Letterman.
“The McCarthys” is CBS sitcom about a loud, Irish-Catholic, sports-crazed family from Boston. Jimmy plays Sean, a chubby, dim, former star athlete who likes to drink beer and eat fried clams.
Jimmy Dunn is at Jean’s Playhouse on Friday, June 2 at 7:30 pm; tickets are $25 and on sale now through the Box Office at 603-745-2141 and online at www.jeansplayhouse.com.
