Unfortunately, and out of an abundance of caution, we have to make adjustments to this week's schedule of performances. Opening Night of THE SOUND OF MUSIC IN CONCERT scheduled for Thursday, July 7 at 7 PM is cancelled. We will be adding the Sunday Rain Date performance on July 10 to make up for it. If you purchased tickets for the July 7 performance, you will receive an email and you will have the chance to exchange your tickets to either Friday, Saturday, or Sunday's performance. If you cannot make any of those, we will gladly provide a refund or we would be very thankful if you considered transferring it into a tax deductible donation.
Back by popular demand, NCCA will be once again open its summer season by moving outside to the Pemi Base Camp for this stunning outdoor concert version of the beloved Rodgers & Hammerstein classic. The hills of Loon & South Mountain will truly come “alive with the Sound of Music” as we perform the show in concert using the natural beauty of the area as our backdrop and accompanied by a six-piece band.
Seating will be a la “theatre in the park” where we ask patrons to bring their own blankets and low-back beach chairs, find a space on the mountain side to set up, and enjoy the show! Concessions and Restrooms will be available.
Please note there is no tent, so if a performance is rained out, we will reschedule that performance for Sunday, July 10 @ 7:00 PM and your tickets will automatically be good to go – no need for an exchange! You may buy tickets at the event, but we recommend you purchase ahead of time as events were sold out last year. Parking is located right on site and attendants will be there to direct traffic.
Handicap parking is available, and there is a paved watching area for those who are not able to travel on the grass, which is on the same level as the handicap parking. No steps or hills.
Sponsored by Loon Mountain & the Mountain Club on Loon.
THE SOUND OF MUSIC is presented by
