Jean’s Playhouse comic and comedy event producer, Greg Boggis was recently awarded honorable mention in the comedian category by Hippo Magazine and his monthly comedy showcase at Fody’s Tavern in Nashua was named one of the top 5 comedy venues in NH by the website Best in NH. NH favorite from The Strange Name Movie!
Headliner: Paul Nardizzi
Paul Nardizzi is a Boston based comedian known for his rapid fire delivery and sarcasm. Paul grew up just outside of Boston in Dedham Massachusetts. He graduated from Bentley University before embarking on a career in stand up. He made his first Tv appearance five years later. He has been described as a cross between Dennis Miller and Steven Wright. Paul is a fan of both, although he prefers George Carlin over all others. The greatest compliment he ever got was from the father of a comedian he had just bested in a comedy competition. The man told his son, while in earshot of Paul, “He beat you because you say things funny, but he says funny things.”
Feature: Emily Ruskowski
Emily Ruskowski is a Boston-based stand up comedian. She has performed across the country and participated in several comedy festivals. In 2015, she was named of one the Comedy Studio’s Comics in Residence and opened for Maria Bamford a the Wilbur. The Boston Globe said: She has the charm and affability of Brian Regan and a casual sense of storytelling like Janeane Garofalo. Emily is a staple on the Boston Stand Up scene. She has been featured in the Boston Globe and the Washington Post. Emily has performed on Laughs TV on the Fox Network and the popular “Two Dope Queens” podcast.
