IMPACT, our professional Touring Children’s Theatre Company performs a different fairytale every week for six weeks, starting after 4th of July weekend. Each production travels to different venues throughout the state of NH and features a professional cast of 5 actors, plus set pieces, costumes, props, original music, and more! Our 45-55 minute adaptations are written to be enjoyed by both children and adults alike.

The Adventures of Snow White
Week of July 6 – 10 (playing at Jean’s Playhouse Wed, 7/8)
A young Princess must escape the clutches of her stepmother, the evil Queen, who will not rest until she is the fairest of them all. With a little help from a not-so-little Dwarf, she begins her new life away from the castle, but the Queen might have a few more tricks up her sleeve!

Week of July 13 – 17 (playing at Jean’s Playhouse Wed, 7/15)
An amateur brother-and-sister team of explorers have come across a lot of unusual things in their young lives, but nothing compares to a house made entirely out of candy! But just who is the impressive architect behind this tasty piece of art, and what secret are they hiding within its sweet and sugary walls?

Week of July 20 – 24 (playing at Jean’s Playhouse Wed, 7/22)
A lonely puppet maker’s wish comes true when a blue fairy brings one of his puppets to life. In a world full of wicked temptations and sneaky tricksters, the young puppet learns that a little white lie can get you into big trouble, and becoming a real boy means putting others first.
The Little Mermaid
Week of July 26 – 31 (playing at Jean’s Playhouse Wed, 7/29)
Under the sea magic follows a young mermaid as she looks to discover a world beyond the ocean walls. With the help of an evil sea witch, she is able to cast off her fins for feet, but she might be in over her head when she realizes the sea witch’s true intentions!
Return to Oz
Week of August 3 – 7 (playing at Jean’s Playhouse Wed, 8/5)
Dorothy returns to the magic land in hopes of finding her friends once again, but somehow the Emerald City has lost its sparkle, and a new witch is in town who’s ready to rumble. While magic powers and flying monkeys can seem scary, friendship always wins in the magic land of Oz.
Little Red Riding Hood
Week of August 10 – 14 (playing at Jean’s Playhouse Wed, 8/12)
Little Red must make an important delivery to her Granny who is sick in bed, but that will require going over the river and through the woods. As long as she follows Mother’s directions and heeds the warning of three little previous victims, then it should be nothing more than a howling good time!

Each summer, IMPACT presents a rotating series of fast-paced, imaginative adaptations of classic fairytale stories, performed by a small team of professional actors. The program is typically offered as a 6-week series ($4,000 total) running from the week of July 6 through August 14, with performances scheduled on the same day and time each week. Each visit features a different show, creating a consistent weekly event while offering a variety of engaging stories for young audiences.
The program is built with accessibility in mind. By keeping productions flexible and mobile, IMPACT can perform in a wide range of spaces—including theatres, libraries, schools, camps, and community centers—making it an ideal fit for rural and underserved areas with limited access to the arts.
Beyond entertainment, IMPACT supports literacy, creativity, and confidence-building in young audiences. Each performance introduces students to the fundamentals of live theatre while reinforcing storytelling traditions and encouraging imagination. IMPACT provides communities with an affordable, high-quality arts and music experience that is both educational and fun.

How long is the show?
IMPACT shows run between 45 and 55 minutes long, and do not have an intermission.
What is this show rated?
All of our IMPACT shows are rated G for everyone. While geared towards children, we write our IMPACT musicals to be equally enjoyable to adults!
What time should I arrive?
Doors open at 9:30 am. Seating for our IMPACT Shows is “general seating.”
What happens if I arrive late?
If you arrive after the performance has begun, our House Manager or Ushers will help you enter the auditorium at an appropriate time.
What happens if I purchase tickets, but then something comes up?
All ticket sales are final and non-refundable. In special cases, we may be able to exchange your tickets for another performance for a small fee. Alternatively, you may choose to convert your tickets into a donation.
Are there any discounts or special deals for this show?

Military Discount: We offer a 10% discount for current and former members of the military.

NH Residents Night: On Friday nights during our Mainstage Theatre Series, New Hampshire residents can purchase $35 tickets with a valid NH license or second home owner utility bill. These tickets must be purchased in person at the Box Office and are subject to availability.

Group Rates: Discounts are available for groups of 20 or more. Please contact the Box Office for details.
How accessible is this show?

Our parking lot includes 4 handicap spaces and a convenient drop-off location by the front entrance with a ramp.

The lobby, restrooms, and Row F seating are all on the same level—no stairs required.

We offer two wheelchair spaces in Row F, each with a companion seat.

Restrooms include a private, handicap-accessible stall with a locking door.

ADA Listening Devices are available through your smartphone and earbuds, or a Bluetooth-enabled hearing aid. Our staff will be happy to assist you with setup upon arrival.
