Happy Holidays from Jean’s Playhouse!

This holiday season, the Playhouse Players will present A Christmas Carol, directed by Jean’s Playhouse new Producing Director, Scott H. Severance! Scott has served as the Artistic Director for the Derryfield Summer Repertory Theatre and the Peacock Players in Nashua. He is a two-time winner of the New Hampshire Professional Theatre Award for Best Director, and has 35 years of professional theatre experience under his belt. Joining him is a full cast of local actors to reenact the classic tale of miserly Ebeneezer Scrooge, the ghost of his old partner Jacob Marley, and three spirits who teach him the true meaning of Christmas! Join us on Opening Night, December 5th, for free hot chocolate and appetizers from Loon Mountain Resort and the Woodstock Station, starting at 6:30 pm. A Christmas Carol will play Thursdays through Saturdays at 7:30 pm and Sundays at 2:00 pm from December 5 to December 22. Tickets are $20 for adults and $16 for seniors and students.

Local favorite Fran Page will take the stage again in the one-man show, The SantaLand Diaries, an essay written by American comedian David Sedaris about his short-lived experience working as a Christmas elf at Macy’s in New York City over the holidays. Join Fran as “Crumpet the Elf” when The SantaLand Diaries plays December 20 and 21 at 8:00 pm at the Woodstock Station Function Room, and the following weekend from December 26-28 at 7:30 pm at Jean’s Playhouse. Tickets are $20 for adults and $16 for seniors and students. Tickets may be purchased by calling 603-745-2141, visiting www.jeansplayhouse.com, or at the door.
