“PAINTING THE LANDSCAPE OF NEW ENGLAND”
An exhibit of fine oil paintings by
ROBERT GORDON
September through December 2016
“Meet the Artist” reception at Jean’s Playhouse
Saturday, September 24, 20016—5 PM to 7 PM
Robert Gordon’s creative world is “always nature, in which the works of man figure slightly.” His painting style is broad and free-flowing, with detail kept to a minimum. His paintings glow with color that is soft and subtle. His chosen subjects range from the intimacy of gardens and still-life to the wild grandeur of landscape and seascape. He paints the mountains and rivers of New Hampshire, the villages and farms of Vermont and the coastline and harbors of Maine and Massachusetts.
Bob was born in Lynne, Massachusetts. He studied at the Monserrat School of Art in Beverly, Massachusetts, and at Southern Vermont Art Center in Manchester, Vermont. He is a member of the North Shore Art Association, the International Society of Marine painters, the Newburyport Art Association and the Mount Washington Art Association.
Bob has won over forty awards and has exhibited in one-man and national group shows all over the country. Bob teaches both beginning and advanced students in his gallery on the Kancamagus Highway in Conway (603-447-2853).
Please join us at Jean’s Playhouse on Saturday, September 24, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM to meet and talk with Bob about his art work.
