Lincoln, New Hampshire – August 20, 2014 – Comedy and Harmony Headlining the Fall Season at Jean’s Playhouse

Laugh ’til your sides hurt at Jean’s Playhouse! A trio of Boston comics are coming to Lincoln on Sunday, August 31st at 7:30 PM for a night of stand-up fun. This one-night-only event headlines Boston Comedy Festival-winner Dave Russo with additional acts by friends Greg Boggis and Carolyn Plummer. Next up on Saturday, September 6th at 7:30 PM is a Fall Season Kick-Off featuring North Shore Acappella, as seen on NBC’s The Sing-OffFor over 30 years North Shore Acappella has excited audiences throughout New England, adding an experienced blend of harmony, rhythm and tempo to songs from the 1940s through today. Every performance is arranged in a way that showcases each singer in a lead role – a trait that very few acappella groups in the country can claim. North Shore Acappella has appeared as the opening act for The Temptations, The Platters, Ben E. King, Johnny Maestro, Al Jarreau, Roberta Flack, Frankie Vallie and Gene Pitney. Jean’s Playhouse will also announce its 2015 season at this event and sneak-preview its 2014 fall season with a performance by the gentlemen of Forever Plaid. Cocktails and a wine-and-cheese bar will be available. Ticket are $20 for all ages.

Forever Plaid opens at Jean’s Playhouse on Wednesday, September 10th at 7:30 PM and will play through September 27th. Performances are Thurs-Sat at 7:30 PM with special matinees on Sep 14, 17 and 24. This deliciously goofy revue centers on four young, eager male singers in the 1950s who are killed in a car crash on the way to their first big concert. Now they have been miraculously revived for the posthumous chance to fulfill their dreams and perform the show that never was! Tickets are $30 for adults and $25 for seniors and students.
