Buy your tickets today to reserve your seat under our festive tent so you will be able to fully enjoy the start of summer and our new community garden! A delicious catered buffet will be provided by the Mountain Club on Loon, the Woodstock Inn & Station and Gordi’s Fish and Steak House, with a free beer-tasting station by the Woodstock Inn Brewery. Enjoy classical jazz music by Jim and Connie Chesebrough, followed by the opening night performance of Leading Ladies at 7:30 p.m. Then stick around after the show is over to Meet the Cast with Champagne and Dessert. All tickets are $60 and include your reserved seat, catered buffet dinner, dessert and admission to Leading Ladies.

Jean’s Playhouse is pleased to announce a fabulous line-up for our 30th Season of professional theatre from the heart of the White Mountains. Join us on June 23rd for the opening of Leading Ladies, a comedy by Ken Ludwig (the same playwright of last year’s hysterical opening play, Lend Me a Tenor). Two down-on-their luck Shakespearean actors resolve to pass themselves off as an elderly woman’s beloved nephews to get her cash, only to discover that her inheriting relatives aren’t nephews, but nieces! Leading Ladies will play June 23-July 9, Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings at 7:30 p.m., and Wednesday afternoons at 2:00 p.m. on June 29 and July 6.

Next up is the beloved classic, Godspell, a musical by Stephen Schwartz and John-Michael Tebelak. Godspell is an eclectic blend of songs- including the international hit “Day by Day”- employed to bring Jesus’s messages of kindness, tolerance and love vibrantly to life. Godspell will play July 14-30, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings at 7:30 p.m., and Wednesday afternoons at 2:00 p.m. on July 20 and 27.

Parents, leave the little ones at home when you join us for our summer season headliner, Avenue Q, playing August 4-20! Avenue Q is a laugh-out-loud musical by Robert Lopez, Jeff Marx and Jeff Whitty about a recent college grad who moves into an apartment all the way out on Avenue Q. There he meets several colorful types who help him discover his purpose in life. Avenue Q is an irreverent musical comedy partially told through actors using puppets; think: Sesame Street meets South Park! Avenue Q is rated R and will play August 4-20, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings at 7:30 p.m., and Wednesday afternoons at 2:00 p.m. on August 10 and 17.

The summer season rounds out with Altar Boyz, a foot-stomping, rafter-raising musical comedy about a fictitious Christian boy-band from Ohio on the last night of their national ‘Raise the Praise’ tour. Altar Boyz will play August 25-September 10, Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings at 7:30 p.m., and Wednesday afternoons at 2:00 p.m. on August 31 and September 7. Mark your calendar for our lovely fall theatre season, with Steel Magnolias playing September 22-October 1, and On Golden Pond closing our 2016 professional theatre season from October 6-15.
