Jean’s Playhouse is currently at limited capacity due to social distancing. For this reason, we highly recommend you purchase your tickets ahead of time. As this is an outdoor event, our usual COVID policies will not be adopted, but please continue reading for more information.

To open our season, NCCA will be moving outside to the Pemi Base Camp for this one-of-a-kind outdoor concert version of the beloved Rodgers & Hammerstein classic. The hills of Loon & South Mountain will truly come “alive with the Sound of Music” as we perform the show in concert using the natural beauty of the area as our backdrop and accompanied by a six-piece band.

Seating will be a la “theatre in the park” where we ask patrons to bring their own blankets and low-back beach chairs, find a space on the mountain side to set up six-feet away from your fellow patrons, and enjoy the show! Masks will not be required while watching the production, but we do ask you wear them while entering, exiting, ordering food, or using the restrooms. Concessions and Restrooms will be available.

Please note there is no tent, so if a performance is rained out, we will reschedule that performance for Sunday, July 11 @ 7:00 PM and your tickets will automatically be good to go – no need for an exchange! You may buy tickets at the event, but we recommend you purchase ahead of time as we still have a capacity limit. Parking is located right on site and attendants will be there to direct traffic.

Sponsored by Loon Mountain & the Mountain Club on Loon.
