Give and Take, 2015

Fri, Nov 13 & Sat, Nov 14 at 7:00 pm Sun, Nov 15 at 2:00 pm

By Michael Scanlon

Jean’s Teens and Lin-Wood Public School are proud to present Give and Take, November 13-15, Friday and Saturday evening at 7:00 PM and Sunday afternoon at 2:00 PM. Give and Take is a collection of multicultural folktales from around the world, written into a play by a high school acting class from Rhode Island to show how various cultures respond to the concepts of generosity and greed. The stories, some quite humorous and others quite poignant, originate from Native America, Africa, England, Japan, Russia, Ireland, Italy and South America, using a variety of theatrical techniques including mime, Kabuki style and Greek chorus.
