  • A Proud History and a New Beginning

First the North Country Center for the Arts, then the Papermill Theatre, and now Jean's Playhouse...no matter the name, our little theatre in the mountains has always stood for one thing -- a consistent pursuit of theatrical excellence. From humble roots, we have grown into a year-round producing organization in a state of the art theatre facility and are truly exhilarated by what lies ahead.

2014 marks our most ambitious adventure yet, for in addition to continuing our award-winning professional summer theatre work (this year with a theme..."A Summer of Laughter"), Jean's Playhouse will be the home for community and youth productions, jazz bands, film festivals, magicians, puppeteers, stand-up comics, murder mystery and Shakespeare. As the Engineer on this Magical Crazy Train, I am proud to welcome you aboard and look forward to a long rewarding journey with the theatregoers of NH. Now let's "play"!
