  • The Music Man

    music-manAn affectionate paean to Smalltown, U.S.A. of a bygone era, Meredith Willson’s The Music Man follows fast-talking traveling salesman Harold Hill as he cons the people of River City, Iowa into buying instruments and uniforms for a boys’ band he vows to organize – this despite the fact he doesn’t know a trombone from a treble clef.

  • Nunsense

    NunsenseFive of the 19 surviving Little Sisters of Hoboken, a one-time missionary order that run a leper colony on an island south of France, start a greeting card company to raise funds for burials and decide to stage a variety show in the Mount Saint Helen’s School auditorium to raise the necessary amount.  The entertainment that they present includes solo star turns, madcap dance routines, and more unexpected wackiness!

  • The Pirates of Penzance

    piratesGilbert and Sullivan’s operetta about Frederic, who, having completed his 21st year, is released from his apprenticeship to a band of tender-hearted pirates. He meets Mabel, the daughter of Major-General Stanley, and the two young people fall instantly in love. Frederic finds out, however, that he was born on 29 February, and so, technically, he only has a birthday each leap year and so he must serve for another 63 years. Bound by his own sense of duty, Frederic’s only solace is that Mabel agrees to wait for him faithfully.

These include the adventures of four young Athenian lovers and a group of six amateur actors, who are controlled and manipulated by the fairies who inhabit the forest in which most of the play is set.
