We are seeking an energetic teaching artist for a new after-school restorative justice theatre program in Belknap County!

Teaching Artist

Jean’s Playhouse seeks an energetic, qualified teaching artist for its new after-school theatre program Will Power. This six-week program has been created to work with young people in the Restorative/Juvenile Justice system of Belknap County. Using the works of William Shakespeare, one of the programs goals will be to engage, challenge, and provoke the students into deeper thought and action. Applicants should have a strong background in teaching, Shakespeare and working with students in grades 7-12.

This is a paid position. The program begins September 18 and goes through October 26, 2017.

Actors and Actresses

Jean’s Teens — Sep 5 & 6, 6-8 pm
Auditions at Jean’s Playhouse for the fall youth theatre play, Alice in Wonderland. Be prepared to read from the script and have fun! Auditioners need only attend one of the two audition dates.
Performances: Nov 3-5, Friday and Saturday at 7:30 pm and Sunday at 2:00 pm

The Papermill Theatre Company — Mar 2018 at the NETCs

Jean’s Playhouse casts its professional Papermill Theatre Company and IMPACT Children’s Theatre Company at the New England Theatre Conference each year. The Papermill Theatre Company produces 5-6 productions over 16 weeks each summer and fall. The IMPACT Children’s Theatre Company writes, composes and produces 8 one-act musicals over nine weeks each summer, and tours to eight different communities around the state each week.
